CANTCU is able to reset the immobilizer in the BMW 8HP51/76 transmission. An EEPROM readout from the transmission (using a 3rd party tool) is required.
- Initial situation with immobilizer locked
2. Go to Utilites → BMW 8HP51/76 Immobilizer Reset and select a EEPROM-file. If the file is valid, the reset carries on.
3. A message will appear indicating the reset was succesfully carried out.
4. After reset, the “Immo” will show unlocked.
